Nee Soon GRC made its first appearance at GE2011 where a PAP team led by now-Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam beat the Workers’ Party with 58 per cent of the vote. Four years later, they increased their winning margin over the WP with 66 per cent of the vote.
